Parent-Child Playgroup

A nurturing, bonding environment encouraging growth for both parent and child!

About the Sweet Pea Parent-Child Program

Children from infancy to 3 years of age, along with a parent or caregiver, participate in a Parent-Child Playgroup. The program consists of a 2-hour class, 1 day a week, for a Fall or Spring semester. Parents, infants, and toddlers come together in a home-like environment to play, sing, listen, and learn. A wholesome snack, prepared by the teacher, is shared. Parents/caregivers work on a purposeful project while conversations focus on supporting the parenting journey. The children play inside and out, and all enjoy a puppet play.

Our playgroups are led by experienced Waldorf teachers, who offer parents and caregivers support in child development and education while preparing children for Preschool. 

2025-26 Program Session Information

Session Dates and Times

Fall 2025: September 4th-December 19th, Wednesday-Friday, 9:30-11:30 am (No class: October 16th, and November 22nd-26th)

Spring 2026: January 6th-May 1st, Wednesday-Friday, 9:30-11:30 am, (No class: February 16th-20th, and March 30th-April 10th)

Session Tuition

 $476 for 14 weeks of classes. The charge for a second child (attending the same class/day) is $100 per session.

About the Enrollment Process

  • Submit an Inquiry Form and
    • schedule a tour of the school, or
    • continue to fill out the Sweet Pea Parent-Child Application.
  • Pay the $25 Application Fee (via Stripe or in the office)
  • One of our Parent-Child teachers will review your application and contact you for a placement interview. 
  • Shortly before the session begins, or once you and your child(ren) have been placed in a class (if enrolling mid-session), you'll receive an Enrollment Agreement and may pay online or come into the office to pay by cash or check.

About the Re-Enrollment Process

If your child has previously been enrolled in our Parent-Child Program, and you would like to re-enroll, please:

  • Email admissions@liveoakwaldorf.org with the following information:
    • child's name
    • session (Fall or Spring) you would like to join
    • day of week preferences (W-F)
  • Your information will be added to our list, our Parent-Child teacher will contact you to confirm placement. 
  • Shortly before the session begins, or once you and your child(ren) have been placed in a class (if enrolling mid-session), you'll receive an Enrollment Agreement and may pay online or come into the office to pay by cash or check.
