About the Sweet Pea Parent-Child Program

Parent and Child classes offer families support as they begin their parenting journey. Classes are held in a home-like environment where the teacher models rhythms and routines to encourage the healthy development of your child and home life. Each class there is time for quiet observation of play and discussions to deepen our intuitive understanding of child development. Wholesome meals are prepared and shared around a table. Explore handwork, movement and the joy of singing and end the day with a seasonal puppet story.

Children from walking to 3 years of age, along with a parent or caregiver, participate in the Parent-Child circle. The program consists of a 2-hour class, 1 day a week, for a Fall or Spring semester.

Our playgroups are led by experienced Waldorf teachers, who offer parents and caregivers support in child development and education while preparing children for Preschool.

2026-27 Program Session Information

Session Dates and Times

Fall 2026: September 9th-December 18th, Wednesday-Friday, 9:30-11:30 am (No class: November 23rd-27th)

Spring 2027: January 13th-May 7th, Wednesday-Friday, 9:30-11:30 am, (No class: February 15th-19th, and March 22nd-April 2nd)

Session Tuition

$500 for 14 weeks of classes. The charge for a second child (attending the same class/day) is $100 per session.

About the Enrollment Process

Submit an Inquiry Form and
- schedule a tour of the school, or
- continue to fill out the Sweet Pea Parent-Child Application.
Pay the $25 Application Fee (via Stripe or in the office)
One of our Parent-Child teachers will review your application and contact you for a placement interview.
Shortly before the session begins, or once you and your child(ren) have been placed in a class (if enrolling mid-session), you'll receive an Enrollment Agreement and may pay online or come into the office to pay by cash or check.

About the Re-Enrollment Process

If your child has previously been enrolled in our Parent-Child Program, and you would like to re-enroll, please:

Email admissions@liveoakwaldorf.org with the following information:
- child's name
- session (Fall or Spring) you would like to join
- day of week preferences (W-F)
Your information will be added to our list, our Parent-Child teacher will contact you to confirm placement.
Shortly before the session begins, or once you and your child(ren) have been placed in a class (if enrolling mid-session), you'll receive an Enrollment Agreement and may pay online or come into the office to pay by cash or check.
