Admissions Steps

Step 1: Request Information

Complete the form below to receive admissions information and next steps for visiting campus and applying.

Step 2: Tour the Campus (recommended)

After you request information, we can help you schedule a tour of our forty-acre campus. Visiting allows you to see the school and classrooms, get a feel for the community, and ask questions about the program that best fits your child.

Step 3: Apply

If you have requested information, we will invite you by email to create a user account with DreamClass, the online database Live Oak Waldorf School uses to manage school records. Once your account is established, you can access the parent portal and submit your application.

Step 4: Interview or Classroom Visit

Preschool & Kindergarten: Admission Interview

Applications are sent to teachers for review and placement based on the child’s age and previous schooling. To start Preschool, children must be 2 years and 9 months old by the first day of school (usually close to Sept. 1). Teachers place children in the grade and class level that will best meet the social-emotional and academic needs of each child.

Grades: Classroom Visit

To ensure our school and class are the best fit for each child, we require students in the Grades program, while school is in session, to participate in a three- to five-day classroom visit. For the child to attend class, the following paperwork must be completed and submitted:

• Student Emergency Card
• Medication in School (if needed)
• Photo Release

Step 5: Admissions Decision

The teacher will notify the family after the interview (Preschool and Kindergarten) or classroom visit (Grades) of the enrollment decision.

Enrollment

Step 1: Admissions Decision Notification and Trial Period

Upon acceptance, the student may enroll in the school for a trial period of up to six weeks. The trial period allows the family and the teacher to ensure the class is the best option for the student. At any time during the trial period, the family may choose to leave or the teacher may choose to ask the student to withdraw.

If a student leaves within the six-week trial period, the family is only responsible for paying tuition while the child is enrolled.

Step 2a: Complete the Tuition Agreement

You will receive an email inviting you to complete your admissions agreement via FACTS.

Step 2b: Submit Enrollment Forms and Documentation

You will receive an email with a link to all necessary enrollment forms. The school must have documentation of immunization on the child’s first day of class or enrollment.
