Parent Enrichment Workshop

April 1, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)
For the 2024-2025 school year, the Live Oak College of Teachers invites you to an in-depth, 4-part series exploring significant changes that have taken place over the last 15 years, changes which have affected the child’s abilities to play, to learn, to focus, and to relate to self and others. As digital media has taken a more centralized role in everyday life, offering many new beneficial opportunities and capabilities, children have widely experienced detrimental consequences.

We will use the book The Anxious Generation, by Jonathan Haidt, to gain a fuller understanding of these detrimental consequences and, more importantly, to focus on the ways in which we can renew the hope of health and vitality for our children and for ourselves.

“The Anxious Generation” is available for purchase in the office, and is offered on Audible but is NOT required to participate and benefit from this series.
