Melissa Paulsen

Melissa Paulsen was hired as the Front Office Coordinator at the beginning of the 2025/2026 school year. Prior to that, she held the role of Outreach Coordinator for two years. Melissa loves the hustle & bustle of the Front Office. It keeps her on her toes!

Melissa is an enthusiastic Madrone parent. She loves to be involved in school events and projects, and was the class parent in 1st and 2nd grade. Melissa and her family came to Live Oak after her son aged out of the preschool/kindergarten program he was attending. His previous school suggested the family check out Live Oak, and they fell in love instantly!

She loves all crafting, but her current focus is in the handwork arts. She learned how to knit and crochet, and looks forward to learning anything the Live Oak children are learning. She’s also a big fan of napping. On the weekends, you will find her at home or out and about with her husband, her son, and their family’s German Shepherd. Melissa is a fan of baseball in all forms. The Paulsen family hosts a college baseball player in their home every summer. You won’t catch her fishing, but she might go along with her family and hold down the fort nearby. Melissa looks forward to the next several years at Live Oak.
