Sandy Barry

Sandy Barry grew to love the Live Oak Waldorf School community as she volunteered in the gardens throughout  2022-2023. She holds a BA in Journalism from Humboldt State University and did post-graduate leadership studies at UCLA. Sandy worked as a radio news reporter, editor, and broadcaster, a political consultant, and a communications strategist for a Fortune 10 company. She also volunteered in her children’s classroom as a math and reading specialist and relived her love of Girl Scouting as a camp counselor for at-risk teens. When she’s not at school or caring for her young grandchild, Sandy sings and ministers at her church grows most of what she eats, and hikes throughout the Sierra foothills. 

Sandy joined Live Oak Waldorf School in 2023.
