Willow Matty

Willow holds a B.A. in Education and a California State Teaching Credential, providing her with a strong foundation in child development and educational theory. Building on this background, she recently earned her Waldorf Grades Teaching Certificate from Antioch University.

Willow brings several years of classroom experience, including two years as a grades teacher at Yuba River Charter School. While completing her Waldorf certification, she fulfilled her practicum at Live Oak Waldorf School, where she observed and occasionally taught in a range of grades classrooms. This school year, she has also served as the lead teacher in the Kindergarten Stargarden program at Live Oak, becoming a well-known and cherished member of the community.

Her teaching journey includes a wide range of experiences—from Bolinas Children’s Center Preschool, to Grizzly Hill Elementary, Yuba River Charter School, and now Live Oak. Throughout her work, Willow brings a deep reverence for the growing child and a sincere commitment to understanding how Waldorf pedagogy meets the developmental needs of children today. She approaches her teaching with warmth, curiosity, and heartfelt enthusiasm.
